Regional programmes is a vital labour market instrument used by regional authorities, as they are created in response to specific problems of the Pomeranian labour market.
Regional programmes are financed by the Labour Fund and aimed at:
- promotion of employment opportunities
- alleviating effects of unemployment
- employment activisation
The Voivodeship Labour Office in Gdańsk is the initiator and coordinator of the programmes, the programmes being directly implemented by the county labour offices and institutions cooperating with them under local partnerships.
GRIFFIN – The Voivodeship Programme Supporting Economic Development and Job Creation Based on Regional Tradition and Natural Resources – the aim of the programme is to support activisation of the unemployed and job creation based on cultural, natural and geographical assets of the region, as well as strengthening of regional identity.
ENTERPRISING POMERANIAN – the programme aims at activisation of the unemployed in the Pomorskie Voivodeship through the support of self-employment and creation of new jobs in the small and medium-sized enterprises sector, as well as promoting enterprise and self-employment among the unemployed.
